What is an IPL treatment?

IPL (intense pulsed light) treatment is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses light energy to improve a variety of skin conditions. This procedure involves a handheld device that emits high-intensity light pulses on the skin, which penetrate the outermost layers of skin and target the deeper layers of tissue. IPL treatment can be used to reduce the appearance of pigmentation, sun damage, rosacea, age spots, acne scars and hair removal. It works by heating and damaging the targeted cells, which encourages the body’s natural healing response and promotes the growth of new, healthier tissue.
